A 12-year-old girl from Oakland made history at the Democratic National
Convention Tuesday night.
Iliana Wexler became the youngest primetime speaker at a political
convention. Even though she's not old enough to vote, she took a shot at the
Bush administration.
"When our vice present had a disagreement with a Democratic senator, he
used a really bad word," Wexler told the crowd. "If I said that word,
I would be put in a time out. I think he should be put in a time out."
Wexler, a 7th grader, founded a group called Kids for Kerry. She was
scheduled to appear on the Late Show with David Letterman Wednesday night.
